Dear ARC members,
As you know the ARC is dedicated to encouraging the professional development of its members and providing opportunities for sharing and expanding knowledge and skills in registration practice.
While core registration practices remain at the heart of what we do, such as cataloguing and recordkeeping, our roles are extremely varied requiring a wide range of skills depending on where we work (indeed enough to form our own hat collection!).
In acknowledgement of this we would like to ask you, our devoted members, to tell us what kinds of professional development opportunities would contribute to the wonderful work you do. These opportunities could:
- cover any topic that would be useful to you and other members
- be information sessions, workshops, tours, social events
- be run by colleagues and other industry professionals.
Topics could be:
- digital asset management
- what’s new in packing and crating – materials and methods
- virtual couriering
- emergency preparedness and rapid response
- refresh on relevant state, national, international legislation
- or other

Of course, suggestions are welcome anytime however, to plan for 2025 we ask for your response before the end of August so that we can start!
