Scholarship applications now open – ARCS Conference 2019

Hi everyone,

Thanks to the generous support of Masterpiece, we are very pleased to announce that scholarship applications are now open for two lucky ARC members to attend the ARCS (Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists) Conference in Philadelphia!

The ARCS Conference is held bienially, and the last conference in Vancouver in 2017 attracted 774 attendees, so it’s a huge event and a great chance to network with your colleagues worldwide.

Greg Hunter
Collections Registrar @ Melbourne Cricket Club (National Sports Museum)

Greg has been part of the Registration team at the National Sports Museum since 2010. He is responsible for the cataloguing, condition reporting, freighting and packing of a diverse range of over 60,000 objects in three distinct collections, and also manages the museum’s inward and outward loan agreements. Prior to entering the Registration field, Greg worked with the Shrine of Remembrance and was an exhibition assistant with the National Sports Museum, working on the development of the Champions: Thoroughbred Racing Gallery. Greg holds a BA (Honours) in History (2005) and a Graduate Diploma in Museum Studies (2012), both from Deakin University. He also holds a Diploma in Law and Collection Management (2014) from the Institute of Art and Law (UK). He is passionate about all things relating to the registration and collections fields, and is delighted to be able to assist ARC in meeting the needs of its wonderful membership base and championing the cause of registrars throughout the region.
